Abilene-Taylor County Public Health Department Offers Saturday Flu Clinic

The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health Department is offering a flu clinic on Saturday, February 10th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This clinic is being offered in an effort to reduce the prevalence of the flu in the Abilene area this flu season. Numerous flu vaccines will be offered:

  • High Dose Flu Vaccine geared toward citizens 65 and older and is covered by Medicare.

  • Flu Vaccine costs $25.00 or is covered by 1st Care and BCBS (PPO) for citizens from 3 years to 64 years of age.

  • Flu Vaccine for 3 years to 18 years and is covered by CHIP and Medicaid.  The normal administration fee for the flu vaccine for under- or no insurance Children will be waived for Flu vaccine only.

  • Pediatric Flu Vaccine for children 6 months to 35 months and is covered by CHIP and Medicaid. The normal administration fee for the flu vaccine for under- or no insurance Children will be waived for Flu vaccine only.

The normal administration fee for the flu vaccine for under- or no insurance Children will be waived for this Flu Clinic, for flu vaccine given on this day only to patients 6 months – 18 years of age.

Walk-ins only, must have proof of insurance (if applicable) and ID.  Only cash payment accepted.
