Abilene-Taylor County Public Health Department Offers BACK TO SCHOOL Clinic
The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health Department is beginning their annual BACK TO SCHOOL Immunizations clinic early to avoid the back to school rush in August!
This daily clinic is being offered in an effort to reduce the long wait times that usually occur in August the week before school starts. New students entering school for the first time (pre-k, kindergarten, first grade) and 7th graders will need immunizations.
- Bring shot records and any insurance or Medicaid cards.
- Insurance accepted:Medicaid, CHIP, BCBS, 1st Care, Private pay
- Cash or check only (no credit or debit)
- Walk-ins only, no appointment needed
Hours of operation:
Monday - Friday 9am-11:45am and 1pm-4pm
We are hosting a "Kindergarten Immunization Round-Up" at the Health Department on Saturday July 28th from 10am to 2pm. This is only for those entering Kindergarten and there will be face painting, games, cartoons, movies, coloring, and crafts. Since AISD will be registering for school on August 7th, 8th, and 9th we will also be open on August 11th from 10am-2pm for school immunizations as well.
