We offer a great lineup of activities for teens; no registration needed (unless noted).  Come out and join us, bring a friend, and make some new ones.


AFTERNOON ARCADE (AGES 8-18)

If you're a teen that loves pizza and gaming, check out this monthly event where you can meet up with your friend, play some games (video games and traditional board games), eat some pizza (on us), and have a little fun.

Mockingbird Branch: 2nd Tuesdays from 4:00PM - 5:30PM

CODING CLUB (AGES 10-18)

If you have an interest in technology and coding, be a part of this monthly club meeting.  Each time we'll gather to work on new activities designed to introduce you to the basics of coding both on PC's and the real world.  Open to all skill levels.

LEGO CLUB (AGES 8-18)

Although geared for younger audiences, if you enjoy building then come be a part of these regular club offerings where you can work on projects solo, or team up for group activities.  It's a great way to spend time with friends, and make new ones.

LIB-CON (ALL AGES)

Hosted each Spring, all ages are invited to be a part of the festivities.  Celebrating manga, anime, comics, superheroes, fandoms, and more, a committee at your library will put together a great lineup of programming to take advantage of, including our fun Cosplay Contest.  For more information about Lib-Con, visit our Official Page on our website.

MOCKINGBIRD CHESS CLUB (AGES 8-18)

If you're a teen with an interest in playing chess you may want to become a part of our Chess Club.  Meeting twice a month, participants will not only challenge their peers to friendly games, but we'll also learn new techniques, watch demonstrations, possibly hear from guest speakers, and develop new skills through video.

MOVIE SHOWINGS @ YOUR LIBRARY

If you're looking to catch a movie at your library, we show them on a regular basis across all locations, with the majority of them occurring on the weekends.  All showings are free to attend including the Saturday Matinees and Weekend Walk-In Flix.  Snacks are provided, or feel free to bring your own.  Check our Movie Schedule online to see what's in the lineup.

POKEMON MEET UP (AGES 13+)

Are you into playing the Pokemon Card Game?  If so, be a part of this monthly club that meets at your library where we'll play rounds of the game, learn new techniques, share in our love of the fandom, and more.  Created for all skill levels.

PROJECT TEEN SERIES

STEAM POWERED EVENT (AGES 8-18)

Aimed at tweens, but with some appeal for older teens too, this program offers activities that center on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.  Designed as a way to strengthen your critical thinking skills, and have you learn while having fun, each month will feature new themed activities to get involved in.

TABLETOP TEENS (AGES 13-18)

Teens are invited out for traditional gaming fun with peers.  From Exploding Kittens to Settlers of Catan, learn some of the best modern tabletop games at your library.  Each month we'll feature new games that challenge the mind, build teamwork, and are just plain fun to play.

Main Library: Wednesdays from 4:30PM - 5:30PM


Laptop 4
TWEEN TECH (AGES 8-15)

Hosted on a monthly basis, this program will expose tweens with hands-on learning when it comes to using some of the hottest open-source programs online.  We cover photo, music, and video editing through learning GIMP, 3D Slash, Audacity, and more great programs.
