Upcoming Election

The City of Abilene does not have a proposition or measure on the upcoming Tuesday, November 6, 2018  Election.  Information respective to that election can be found at https://www.taylorcountytexas.org/214/Current-Election.  Taylor County Elections Department can be contacted at (325) 674-1216.

 


Prior Two (2) Elections

Runoff Election - Place 2 - June 16, 2018

A runoff election is scheduled to be ordered for June 16, 2018.  The City Council will take this official action at a Special Meeting to be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018, which begins at 8:30 a.m.

Place 2 runoff candidates are Bruce Kreitler and Jack Rentz, respectively.  More information will follow on the voting schedule following official canvass.

A drawing for a place on the Runoff Election ballot will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at the Taylor County Elections Office, Taylor County Plaza, 400 Oak Street, Abilene, Texas.

General & Special Elections - May 5, 2018

Election Returns

  • Early Voting and Election Day results can be accessed here.  The Early Voting period begins Monday, April 23, 2018, and ends Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  The results for early voting will not be available until after polls close on Saturday, May 5, 2018, and all voting locations have turned in their individual results.  In turn, election day results will be uploaded as follows:  (a) once 9of the 17 vote center results have been calculated; and (b) after the remaining 8 vote center results have been calculated [final, un-official results).  
  • The Abilene City Council is scheduled to canvass the results of both the General & Special Elections at a Special Called Meeting to be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. in Council Chambers, Abilene City Hall, 555 Walnut Street, Abilene, TX 79604.
