    Do

    Put Your Container Out Early
    Collection starts at 6:00am

    Place Your Container Close to the Curb
    With handle facing your house

    Leave Space Between Containers
    Also keep at least 5 feet from cars & mailboxes

    Bag Loose Paper & Trash
    Remember bagged trash stops litter

    Keep Your Container Clean
    This eliminates odor & bugs

    Make Sure Coals are Cold
    Hot coals will melt or burn containers

    Leave Grass Clippings on the Lawn
    If you bag them, do not overstuff the container
    Call the Solid Waste Division at (325) 676-6053 if your container requires repairs
    Don't

    DON'T Keep Your Container on the Curb
    On non-collecting Days

    DON'T Overstuff of Jam Items
    Items stuck or stuffed can keep the container from emptying

    DON'T Put Tree Limbs in Container
    Cut them into 4' lengths for bulky pickup, or bring to 2149 Sandy St

    DON'T Overload the Container
    Do not fill with cement blocks, construction debris, etc.

    DON'T Put Household Trash on the Ground
    All trash must be inside the container

    DON'T Use Additional "Containers"
    The driver does not stop to pick up boxes on the curb

    Note: Hired construction workers, tree trimmers, grass cutters, rug layers, roofers, etc are classified as contractors. Our residential curbs cannot be used for their disposal use when contracted to work at your home.

    Do

    Use the Barrel Closest to Your Property
    Even if it's across the alley

    Be Considerate of Your Neighbors
    If 4 share a barrel, only 1/4 is for your household

    Keep the Barrel Clean
    This eliminates odors & bugs

    Screen Container From View of Neighboring Properties
    In non-residential & within 100 feet of residential, containers must be screen at least 7' high. More information at (325) 676-6053

    DON'T Use an Enclosure Less than 12' Wide
    Our trucks need at least 12' to lift out the container

    DON'T Pile Trash On or In Front Of Container
    Our trucks need easy access to empty it

    Park vehicles elsewhere o keep paths clear

    DON'T Fill with Long Lumber that Sticks Out
    Your container will not be dumped
