COACH Health Clinic

The City of Abilene Clinic for Health (COACH) provides free health care for minor, non-emergency type illnesses or injuries for City employees and their dependents covered on the City’s health plan. Eligible employees not covered under the City’s health plan may also visit for a small office fee. Please bring your insurance card as proof of coverage and eligibility for clinic services.

Walk-In appointments are currently not available as we transition to a new provider. Please call ahead at (325) 437-4611 to make an appointment.

Appointments are available on the following days:

  • Monday & Friday mornings only
  • Wednesday all day

Conditions We Can Treat

  • Allergic Reactions - Bee stings and insect bites
  • Cold and Flu
  • Ear Infections
  • Minor Burns
  • Minor Injuries - Lacerations, sprains, and strains
  • Minor Skin Lesions
  • Seasonal Allergies
  • Sore Throats

Conditions We Cannot Treat

  • Major Broken Bones - Requiring a cast like legs or arms
  • Major Cardiac Events - Such as crushing chest pain
  • Major Head Injuries
  • Major Trauma and Injuries
  • Serious Illnesses - Such as brittle bones, diabetes, and strokes

These are the health needs of an emergency, critical, or specialized nature. COACH is not equipped or intended to provide these services.
