Notify Me
Most City emails are now sent via the Notify Me® system where you can choose which categories and departments you would like to receive emails for. Notify Me can send notifications for:
- Bid Postings
- News Releases (News Flashes)
- Calendar Events
Other City Email Lists
These traditional mailing lists are "double opt-in" style lists, meaning you must initiate the sign-up process to subscribe, and you must confirm your intent to subscribe to a list before you will receive any mailings from us.
Note
Each list is independently operated, so you will need a separate subscription or unsubscription for each list. We do not share your address with anyone outside of the City of Abilene.
Subscribers to this email list will receive notification of posted Notice of Meetings for City Council and other City Boards. The notices of meetings are posted for 72 hours prior to the meeting.

Subscribers to this email list will receive notifications via email regarding street closures and re-openings due to road construction, water and sewer line repairs, flooding, etc.
