The 2015 bond program dedicated $4.2 million to Proposition 9 for airport improvements. By approving this measure, Abilene Regional Airport will received an additional $38 million in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport improvement grants, funding the projects listed below.

A ramp rehabilitation project on the northwest side of the airport was expected to begin in 2020 or 2021, using Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant funds carried over from 2018-20. This project has been postponed.
