Universal Class Tutorials
If you want to continue on with your education, Universal Class offers you the ability to choose from hundreds of great courses to take online for free. Completion of the courses will also earn your credit too. Registering for the service is easy, and in no time you’ll be ready to get started with the learning process.
STEP 1: To sign in, click the “Go To Universal Class” link in this tutorial. When you first enter Universal Class, you need to enter your library card information and then click the Go>> button.
STEP 2: On the next page, you need to complete three steps. First, enter a username and create a password. Then enter your email.
STEP 3: Finally, enter your personal information. Once all your information is added, click the Continue>> button.
STEP 4: You are now able to join courses within Universal Class.
STEP 1: When you enter Universal Class for Libraries, the first page you will see is My Classes. If you haven’t started a course, Universal Class provides some suggestions for you to explore. If you have a particular class or field of study that you want to learn about, click the Course Catalog button at the top of the screen.
STEP 2: From the course catalog page you are able to search for specific courses using the “Find Course” search bar.
STEP 3: Or scroll down the page and click an area of study that interests you.
STEP 4: Scroll down to see a list of all the classes that are available. You will each course has a number representing how many Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, the course provides. Click a course to go to the course page.
STEP 5: There is some basic information like the number of lessons, exams, and assignments, as well as the average amount of time needed to complete the course.
STEP 6: Below the basic information is a carousel showing the learning outcomes and a course description. If you want to take the course, click the +Join This Course button in the basic information box.
