Saturday Matinee: "The Martian"

Catch a great movie during the South Branch Library’s Saturday Matinee event where we play great hits. At this session we’ll be showing 2015’s “The Martian,” based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir, and starring Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, and Kristen Wiig. In this film, an astronaut becomes stranded on Mars after his team assumes him dead, and must rely on his ingenuity to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. This film is rated PG-13 for some strong language, injury images, and brief nudity, and has a run time of 2 hours and 24 minutes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy with the movie.
