Don’t miss out on the festive fall fun at your South Branch Library as we gear up for our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Anyone may enter the contest as an individual, or a team, but only one pumpkin entry per person or team can be entered. Once you have your pumpkin, decorate it using paint and other art supplies (no carving) and return it to your library. The library may have a limited supply of pumpkins available for you to pick up and decorate, or you can feel free to get one of your own, just be sure to keep all decorations family-friendly.

Your decorated pumpkins can be returned to the South Branch Library during regular business hours between October 19-22. Once we have all the entries, we’ll display them at the library for the week of October 23-30 and that’s when the public is encouraged to come in and vote for their favorites. You may do so in person, or by going online to our Facebook page to vote for your favorite with a “like” on the photo in the created album. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 31 and candy prizes will be awarded to the winners. All pumpkins can then be collected the following week until November 5. All pumpkins not picked up will be disposed of by the library.
