Promotion and Awards Ceremony

– The Abilene Police Department will host a promotion and recognition ceremony at the Abilene Police Department, 4565 South First, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the main conference room. The ceremony will recognize our officers who will be promoted and also recognize members of our community that helped our Department during the ice storm in February. These individuals and businesses stepped up to help keep the Department operational during this significant weather event.

 During the promotion ceremony, Lt. Craig Jordan will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief of Police, Officers Andrew Mason, and Matt Armbruster will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Assistant Chief of Police Jordan will head the Departments Major Investigations and Special Investigations Bureaus. Sergeants Mason and Armbruster will serve in Patrol. These promotions will aid our Department move forward and better serve our community.
