The Abilene Zoo is proud to announce the return of Boo at the Zoo presented by Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union on October 16, 23, and 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Boo at the Zoo is an opportunity for zoo lovers of all ages to trick-or-treat throughout the zoo, and enjoy tons of other fall themed events and activities.
"We will have several themed zones inside the zoo including Festival de Animals, Pirates of the Caribbean Cove, Zoomanji, and even a warthog run to name a few," explained Abilene Zoo Development Manager Stephanie DeLaGarza. “We are also excited to bring back the very popular Pumpkin Chunkin. This is where visitors can use a medieval-style trebuchet to launch a pumpkin into Tittle Lake," said DeLaGarza.
Other Boo at the Zoo activities include hourly costume contests, story times with the Abilene Public Library, a hay maze, and the perfect pumpkin patch photo-op spot featuring vintage farm tractors.
Admission to Boo at the Zoo is $10 per person, and $5 for members. Children 2 years of age and under are free. Tickets are available online at www.abilenezoo.org or at the gate on event dates.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a reusable bag to collect candy and treats.
