ABILENE, TX – A multi-day online operation by the Abilene Police Department Cyber Crimes, Texas Department of Public Safety, Department of Homeland Security, and the Sweetwater Police Department has ended in the arrest of 26 suspects. The charges range from Online Solicitation of a Minor to Prostitution of a Minor. The age of the suspects ranges from 24 to 70 years of age and includes several Abilene males and some from out of the area.
Detectives used several social media applications to make contact with the individuals. The suspects then agreed to meet up with what they believed to be an underage juvenile. They were then taken into custody on the listed charges.
