If you’re looking for a new book club to join, which will also get you out and about in our community, we’re pleased to announce the B.Y.O.Book Club starting in January. This club will not meet at the library each month, but instead, meet up at different venues around our city.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 18 at 7:00PM at Mezamiz Coffee House, located at 3909 S. 7th St. At this session, we won’t be discussing a particular book, but instead asking you to bring a book you enjoy, so you can share with other club members. So, this first session will be more of a meet and greet time to get to know each other.
In the future, the library will provide a selection of books where you can then choose one of ours to read and share about, or bring in a copy of your own or borrow from somewhere else. The point will be to get you reading a variety of books, including those that may be a little bit out of your comfort zone.
Be sure to join us at the Mezamiz Coffee House for our first book club meeting on Tuesday, January 18 at 7:00PM. The library will not be paying for any food or beverages so please bring money with your if you wish to purchase anything. Click Here and you can familiarize yourself with Mezamiz’ Menu.
We hope to see you at the first meeting of the B.Y.O.Book Club and hope you enjoy it. For more information, contact club leader Marianne Vadney at 325-437-7323.
