On April 9 th , 2022 at approximately 6:40 p.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1600 block of Vine. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke pushing from the structure. An interior attack was made and the fire was extinguished shortly after. The building was not occupied and only used for storage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the estimated value of damage is $45,000.
