ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department Major Investigations Bureau has identified a 22-year-old Snyder man for two robberies in early February. Trenton Paul Thompson of Snyder is accused of robbing two convenience stores. On February 9, just before midnight, a male dressed in camo pants and a red hoodie went into a convenience store located in the 2700 block of N. 1st, pointed a weapon at the clerk, demanded money, and fled the store. On February 10, just after midnight, a male entered a convenience store located in the 2700 block of Ambler Ave., pointed a weapon at the clerk, demanded money, then fled the store.
Through the assistance of social media and other law enforcement agencies, Thompson was identified as the possible suspect in the Abilene robberies, and other incidents in the Coleman County area. He was arrested by Coleman County police on several charges and is being held there. Abilene Police have filed two charges of Aggravated Robbery against Thompson.
