ABILENE, TX – A motorcycle rider involved in a crash in North Abilene on May 5 has passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. 72-year-old Daniel Randolph of Abilene passed away at the hospital on Thursday, May 12, a week after the crash.
The crash occurred on Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of N. 3rd and N. Willis Streets. A 2000 Mazda Sedan and the motorcycle Mr. Randolph was riding were both traveling north on Willis. The Mazda entered the turning lane to turn west. The motorcycle and the sedan collided, causing the collision. Mr. Randolph was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
No citations have been issued, and this investigation is ongoing.
