Police Seeking More Victims in Funeral Services Theft Case


ABILENE, TX – Abilene Police, on June 5, arrested Abilene Home Funeral Director, 53-year-old Richard Fuqua, for Third Degree State Jail Felony Theft of Elderly. He was accused of stealing money from a client who had paid for prepaid funeral services. The client was not refunded money owed to them by Fuqua. He has since bonded out of jail.

 Detectives with the Crimes Against Property Unit are asking that if you have purchased a preneed policy through Abilene Funeral Home, to check and ensure you have an active Policy. If you do not and would like to file a report, contact the Abilene Police Departments' non-emergency number at 673-8331.
