After School Program
Students ages 6-13 throughout the City of Abilene can register at any of our four recreation centers to attend after school. Our After School Program is available from 3pm-6pm at Chavez, Cobb, Daniels, & Rose Recreation Centers. Kids get opportunities for enriched learning, new experiences, fun activities, gym games, and even get homework help for their school assignments!
Weekly fees will be waived for children that are a part of the free or reduced lunch program. Documentation must be provided, and you can email that documentation to parksandrec@abilenetx.gov.
Transportation is provided by AISD to the rec centers from these schools:
- Chavez: Ortiz
- Cobb: Purcell & Craig
- Daniels: Thomas, Taylor, Purcell & Craig
- Rose: Austin & Bowie
Enrollment for the After School Program 2022-2023 will open July 18, and you can register online at abilenetx.gov/signup!
