The Abilene Public Library hosts a variety of events for the community to attend. One of our most recent events featured Chris McCartor, from the Big Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, who spoke to a group of 45+ people (half of which were youth) regarding Reptiles of the Big Country. He gave us a great lesson on snakes, their habits and behaviors, anatomy, and more in what was an engaging presentation.
Plus, at the end of the program, we got to meet several live snakes in person, including a bearded dragon. If you couldn't make it to the event, feel free to watch a recording of it here.
