Structure Fire: 3000 Block of Rex Allen

Structure Fire - Abilene Fire Department News

On July 28, 2022 at approximately 10:00 a.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire located on the 3000 block of Rex Allen. A neighbor noted smoke coming from the attic vents and called 911. The two occupants of the residence were not home at the time of the incident. AFD fire crews arrived to find fire in the attic space of the structure. The fire was extinguished and contained to the attic space. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Damages are estimated at $20,000.
