Structure Fire: 1500 Block of East Stamford St

Structure Fire - Abilene Fire Department News

On August 14, 2022 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1500 block of East Stamford street. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the doorway of an upstairs room. A second alarm was asked for at this time for man power purposes. The first in crew made a quick attack of the fire and was able to contain the fire to the single room. Other crews were able to evacuate and search the rooms around the fire room. Fire damage was limited to a single room. No occupants were in the room at the time of the fire and all other occupants surrounding this room either self-evacuated or were evacuated by fire department personnel without injury. The estimated amount of damage to the room is $10,000. The fire is still under investigation.
