The Annual Business Mercado is headed your way, running from 9:00AM to 3:00PM at the Abilene Convention Center (1100 N. 6th St.) on Saturday, October 8. Free for the community to attend, this annual event is hosted by the Abilene Hispanic Council to showcase business products and services with the intent of building the bridge with the Hispanic consumer.
Open to all businesses interested in connecting with the Hispanic market, this family-friendly event spotlights the Hispanic culture in Abilene with mariachis, ballet folklórico, and other family fun activities throughout the day.
Your Abilene Public Library will be hosting a booth at this event, which we have done often in the past, and be on hand to share what your local libraries have to offer to you as well. There’s something for everyone at your library from great programming for all ages and wonderful materials for you to checkout and use in your homes.
Of course this event will be running during the same time as our annual Lib-Con event at the Main Library (202 Cedar St. ) in downtown Abilene. So if you’re going to be out enjoying this family-friendly event at the convention center, be sure to stop by the library to see what we’ve got going on at our location.
So feel free to check out the Business Mercado, as well as Lib-Con this year, again being hosted on Saturday, October 8 in downtown Abilene.
