[ARCHIVED] Robbery Suspect Arrest

Abilene, Texas – Abilene Police arrested a 22-year-old Abilene man on an Aggravated Robbery Charge. Richard Wesley Blake Pruitt was picked up by police during a traffic stop on November 15, 2022, in north Abilene for an outstanding warrant.

Police stopped Pruitt at the intersection of North 7th Street and North Treadaway Boulevard. He had a warrant for his arrest for an Aggravated Robbery charge. Pruitt is accused of entering a convenience store on March 31, 2022, just before 1 a.m., displaying a weapon, demanding money from the clerk, and leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Pruitt is being held in the Taylor County Jail and is charged with one count of First Degree Felony Aggravated Robbery. His bond is set at $250,000. The investigation is ongoing.
