The City of Abilene is pleased to announce enhancements to its Municipal Services Bill payment portal aimed at improving the user experience and making information more accessible to residents.
The changes are designed to streamline navigation and provide users with a familiar, yet enhanced interface, according to Priscilla Rayford, manager of the Customer Service Center for the City of Abilene's Water Utilities Department.
The Municipal Services Bill is a single bill that includes water charges for residents and businesses, along with various monthly fees such as street maintenance, stormwater and solid waste.
Existing users will not be required to update personal information or credit card details. The upgrade is being provided at no additional cost to users or the City of Abilene.
"Our website hosting company is simply making it easier for our customers to utilize our online services," said Rayford.
Users familiar with the current website will find elements that are familiar, ensuring a comfortable transition while enjoying an improved experience, she said.
To pay your municipal Services Bill online, visit www.abilenetx.gov/payonline, or click on the "Pay Online" button on this City website's homepage.
The new interface also represents a excellent opportunity for residents to take advantage of various online services, including those offered by the Water Department.
By registering, users can receive notifications regarding bill due dates, bill amounts, and even leak alerts.
Information will be easier to find in the new design with the introduction of a new side menu, replacing the previous tab-based navigation. Users will be able to access features they are accustomed to, such as the consumption tab link, in a more user-friendly manner.
The enhanced website allows users to gain detailed insights into water usage patterns, including daily, hourly, and monthly breakdowns, helping them maximize control over water consumption.
