Due to the construction along Buffalo Gap Road, it is difficult for residents to access the Neighborhood Recycling Center at 4579 Buffalo Gap Road.
Because of this, City of Abilene Solid Waste Services has relocated some of the receptacles to the Neighborhood Recycling Center at 4374 Southwest Drive.
While the Buffalo Gap Road Neighborhood Recycling Center remains open with fewer receptacles, residents may prefer to utilize the Southwest Drive location for easier access during this construction period.
City of Abilene Solid Waste Services plans to maintain this reallocation of recycling receptacles to the Southwest Drive location while Texas Department of Transportation continues reconstruction of Buffalo Gap Road. Relocated recycling receptacles will be returned to the Buffalo Gap Road location when the roadway reopens and full access to the site is restored.
