On Thursday, July 2, 2020, Abilene Police Detectives arrested a 32-year-old Abilene man for the murder of another Abilene man which occurred in December 3, 2019. Detectives arrested Jose Robert Avalos (32 yoa) and charged him with homicide. He was arrested by Abilene detectives at his job site in Pecos TX.
Avalos is accused of shooting 28-year-old Adam Perez while Perez was inside a home located in the 1000 blk. Of Cedar Street at around 9:30 in the evening.
