See what you can catch at Cal Young Park! We have adapted with the times, and we are having our Trout Fest go virtual and it’ll last up to ten days! The event will take place at Cal Young Park Pond from December 5th - 15th. To officially enter into this free contest, you must scan the QR Code on one of the signs at Cal Young Park along the Cal Young Park Pond. Once you’ve scanned the QR code, it’ll redirect you to a website so you can share your name, age, email, and your photo of your catch next to a measuring device. The photo MUST have your catch next to a ruler or measuring device to be officially entered into the contest. Even if you haven’t caught a fish, scan the QR code and fill out the information so we know that you went out to fish that day! Here are the following age groups and categories for our trout fest:

Longest Trout
Biggest "Other" Fish
Most Days Fished
You can fish as many days as you want between December 5th and the 15th, just be sure to scan the QR code each time to submit your catch or to share that you went out to Cal Young! We’ll announce our winners on December 16!

For those ages 17 and older, a valid Texas Fishing License is required to fish out any public body of water in Texas.
