On October 22nd, 2020 at approximately 7:03 p.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a first alarm residential structure fire located in the 1500 block of Park Avenue. Crews arrived to find a single family home with light smoke showing. A fast attack was made and the fire was quickly extinguished. The kitchen area sustained heavy fire and heat damage while the rest of the house sustained light smoke damage. All residence were home at the time of the fire and were able to exit without injury. The fire remains under investigation, estimated value of loss is $10,000.00.
