[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire: 5000 Block of South 7th

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at approximately 1:30 pm crews with the Abilene Fire Department responded to residential structure fire located in the 5000 block of South 7th. On arrival, crews noted a single story residential structure with smoke and flames coming from one side of the residence. Crews made a quick attack on the fire and limited the spread of the fire. Two occupants where home at the time of the fire and were able to exit the structure without sustaining any injuries. The estimated cost of damage is $15,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
