[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire, Fatality: 900 Block of ES 11th

On November 11th, 2020, at approximately 04:50 a.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 900 block of ES 11th. Fire crews arrived to find a RV with heavy smoke and flames showing from the windows and roof. An interior fire attack was made when crews found a victim inside the RV. The victim was removed from the RV and emergency medical services were provided. Despite all efforts, the victim passed away while on scene. Identity is being withheld until notification of family can be made. The RV received major fire damage and is a total loss. The cause of the fire has been ruled as accidental.

Update: 11/19/2020

After exhausting all possible leads to notify the next of kin of the fatality fire on November 11th, 2020, it is now appropriate to release the name of the victim.

Date of Birth: 04/05/1965

Fire Cause was given the day of the fire:
Accidental (Electrical in nature)
