Each year your Abilene Public Library produces an Annual Report providing you with a recap of our activities over the course of the previous year. We have put together our latest report and it is available for viewing online. In this report your will read of the following:
- Message from the new Director of Library Services for the City of Abilene, Julee Hatton
- General look at our statistics including our circulation rates, digital checkouts, patron visits, and more
- Challenges we faced during COVID-19 and how we adjusted to continue serving our community
- A message from your management team at your library, and more.
We can all agree COVID-19 presented great challenges for us all. Our city underwent a partial city shutdown and for the first time, all library branches were made unavailable to the public. No checking out books, presenting storytimes, hosting programs, answering questions, or anything. Over the course of this pandemic, your library has demonstrated one thing. We can rebound from any situation. In our Annual Report, we will address these issues and let you know how we reinvented ourselves to continue to be a facility utilized by our community.
Feel free to view this year's Annual Report online, and feel free to take a look back at a selection of our previous reports that go back to 2014.
