[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire: 5600 Block of South 1st

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at approximately 22:50 crews with the Abilene Fire Department responded to residential structure fire located in the 5600 block of South 1st Street. On arrival, crews noted a single story multi-family residential structure with smoke coming from the front side of the residence. Crews made a quick attack on the fire and limited the spread of the fire. There were no occupants home at the time of the incident. The estimated cost of damage is $5,000. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental.
