On Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10:15 p.m. officers of the Abilene Police Department’s Patrol and Traffic Divisions responded to South First and Morris Streets to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The initial investigation revealed that a Silver Mitsubishi Galant driven by Clark Lee Hill Jr. of Abilene struck a White male pedestrian that was in the inside eastbound lane.
The pedestrian, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Frank Cleveland. Although it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in this collision, blood specimens were obtained from both the driver and the pedestrian. Investigators will continue next of kin notification. This collision remains under investigation by the Abilene Police Department’s Traffic Division.
