    In an effort to reduce the spread of the virus, the meeting will be closed to in person attendance by the public, individuals will be able to address (lie board via telephone conference call.

    Pursuant to Section 551.01)7 of the Texas Government Code, individuals wishing to address the Board for items listed as public hearings will be recognized when the public hearing is opened. For individuals wishing to speak on a non-public hearing item, they may either address the board during the Public Comments portion of the meeting or when the item is considered by the board.

  1. H-E-Buddy Book Event

    July 14, 2020, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ 2nd Floor, Auditorium

    H-E-B is partnering with the Abilene Public Library to give the book, The Nuff, to families. The book has a positive message about how you are enough, featuring colorful artwork with a unicorn. In this come and go event, dress in your favorite costume to take a picture with Buddy, take home a unicorn activity, listen to a unicorn story, and participate in a unicorn treasure hunt. One book per family and open while supplies last. 50 people will be allowed in at a time to meet the capacity of the room. For more information, contact Ellene Cudd at 325-676-6067.

    Calling all teens. If you have a fandom you love, and we know you know, then you’re invited to be a part of the Fandom Club at your Main Library. At these sessions, you’re invited to meetup at the Teen Zone to meet other fans, discuss your fandoms, create fandom based art, play fandom games, and so much more.   1. Toddler Time at South Branch

    Designed for youth ages 2-3, Toddler Times are designed for children (and parents) who are ready to sit and listen to longer stories and to help prepare them for all other youth programming offered at the library.  Limited seating will be available for the first 30 participants to meet the regulation of no more than 50% capacity of the room space.
