  1. Tween & Teen Take & Make: Hit or Myth DIY Archery

    July 23, 2020, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ South Branch Library

    The crafting fun continues at your South Branch Library for tweens and teens and we have another fun activity for you. Robin Hood, Katniss Everdeen, Darryl Dixon, and Legolas. What do they all have in common? ARCHERY! There are many great tales that feature amazing archers and you’re invited to stop by the library on this day to pick up your own Take & Make DIY archery kit. We’ll have them available while supplies last and you’ll be able to make your own mini bow and projectiles with just a few simple supplies.   2. Zoo Lady Visit

    If you have a child that loves animals, you won’t want to miss our summer visit from the Joy Harsh (aka the Zoo Lady) and her animal ambassadors from the Abilene Zoo. This popular program allows youth to not only learn about some of the animals that live at the zoo, but you can get up close and personal with some of them too at the end of the program.   1. Mother Goose on the Loose at Main Library

    Designed for newborns up to age 3, Mother Goose on the Loose is an award-winning literacy program utilizing a variety of activities such as rhymes, puppets, and songs.  Limited seating will be available for the first 15 participants to meet the regulation of no more than 50% capacity of the room.
