Robert Hanna was appointed City Manager for the City of Abilene, Texas in April 2015.
Robert was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He received both a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas. During his graduate program, Hanna served as a Hatton W. Sumner Scholar in cooperation with the Dallas based National Center for Policy Analysis.
Robert has served as the city manager of Denison, Texas, the assistant city manager for the City of Weatherford, Texas, the city administrator for the City of Hudson Oaks, Texas, and has held various positions with the City of Denton, Texas.
Robert and his wife Cindy, enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family members.
